Each genre resource download contains a 40-slide PowerPoint (15 universal, 25 genre-specific), a detailed graphic organizer for students to follow along (in both PDF and MS WORD format), and teacher directions on how to use each slide.
 
There are 20 Genres to choose from on over 400 beautifully designed slides in all, including: Ragtime, Gospel, Blues, Jazz, Country, Swing, Folk, Pop, Bluegrass, R&B (Rhythm and Blues), Rock & Roll, Soul, Rock, Funk, Reggae, Disco, Alternative, Hip Hop, Metal, & Rap
 
Each slideshow provides background, primary source quotations, images, details and characteristics of the music, as well as links to music, videos, clips and more. Studying each genre could take 1-3 days, depending on how many music samples you choose to show.  The content within each genre resource also corresponds to the Family Feud review game for each genre as well.
